A doula does:

A doula does not:

  • Do anything medical or clinical

  • Work for a hospital or other entity

  • Take the place of a nanny, housekeeper, or babysitter

  • Offer unsolicited advice or take your place in the home

About Abby

The more I’ve learned about and been exposed to birth, the more I’ve wanted to be a part of it. It’s a world I didn’t know much about until I was in it myself. My own pregnancies brought their own challenges and opportunity for growth and courage. I believe women deserve to feel the warmth and power of other women coming alongside them on their own journey to and through motherhood. To hear that they are deeply, inwardly strong and capable of hard things. To hear that birth can be beautiful and good.

In-person or virtually, to answer any questions & get to know each other.

“I believed that women already ‘knew’ a lot (whether they knew it or not). So, I developed processes to help them discover and validate their own knowledge, rather than directing a stream of information at them.”

— Pam England "Birthing from Within"
